Man United pound AC Milan
Wayne Rooney found a way to terrorize AC Milan once again. This time at home; the in form striker cut through the AC defense with ease to add 2 goals to his total from the first leg. His first of the day was yet another header goal from a stunning cross provided by aging captain, Gary Neville. Rooney delivered the second just minutes in to the second half after he was sprung free from a fantastic outside of the boot pass via enigmatic winger Nani. Rooney 1 on 1 with the on rushing keeper coolly struck it past the AC keeper and just like that any hope of AC Milan advancing to the next stage was extinguished.With the match essentially over except for time on the clock. Ji Sung Park was rewarded for his outstanding work in the midfield tracking Pirlo defensively throughout the game. In the 59th minute he found space on the edge of the 18 yard box and was able to slip through to have a shot at the far post. AC Fans watched in anguish as the shot caught the post and ripped in to the back of the net. In a moment of class coach Leonardo subbed on David Beckham to play the rest of the game in Old Trafford. The prince of soccer had returned and the fans took turns cheering and booing him. Late in the match AC Milan’s misery was completed when Darren Fletcher nodded in his first European goal of his career.
